Artist Statement
I am currently living in Southampton as a full-time student studying Fine Art at Solent University and creating digital illustrations for a fashion retail store in Southampton called 'Cultivation'.

I am working partnership with Cultivation and another Fine Art student, Millie Matthews, designing retro illustrations based on 90s and 00s toys, technology and fashion labels.

Artist Bibliography
My passion for creating art and selling began when I was a 16-year-old student in my first year of sixth form. We had to create a collage about our environment. Once it was put up in the corridors of our school it caught the attention of my deputy head who wanted my art for fifty pounds! This positive experience gave me confidence, as I knew I had the potential to create better artwork and make profit from them too.

During the pandemic there were many horrific dilemmas and events that unfolded. One in particular was the BLM movement and the George Floyd's murder that was broadcasted all over social media. In 2020 I collected images of protestors and the scenes that developed during the protests and created illustrations of those images but also researched into the past to look at what has changed in our culture towards racism and the justice system towards black people.

My digital illustrations have caught attention of a fashion retail owner in Southampton who I am currently in partnership with, creating reworked retro, illustrations to be printed onto his t-shirts and to sell in his shop called 'Cultivation'.
